General
General Designed by Ed Dubois and built in Australia, Pacific
Highway is probably one of the most beautiful Moderns around.
She was “Breathed on” by Ben Lexcen in 1985, including
the fitting of an Australia type keel and trim tab, plus a number
of other modifications to increase her sail area within the
Rule. In 2006 she has undergone a further upgrade, with the
replacement of the Lexcen wings with a full 2006 full span Howlett
wings and a 2006 Howlett full-depth rudder, together with a
comprehensive update of her instrumentation, hydraulics, etc.
Sails
Comprehensive wardrobe, including recent 2005 North 3DLs (Mainsail,
No 1 genoa, No 2 genoa) etc, North spinnaker, plus back-up wardrobe
of previous sails including No 1 genoa, No 3 new light genoa
2006 Sanders Sails.
Instrumentation
Fitted 2006 TackTick system, including full wind instruments,
Fluxgate compass, repeaters etc. Speed and depth and Loadcell
with mast display.
Hydraulics
Fitted 2006, Navtec panel controlling hydraulic forestay and
fore-and-aft mast ram.
Rigging
Most running rigging replaced 2006
Rod standing rigging. New Spectra runner tails

Australian mast and boom, aluminium.
